Here are answers to the most frequently asked questions about accessing nutrition support through your NDIS plan.
Services can be funded under ‘Capacity Building’ (Improved Daily Living or Improved Health and Wellbeing) or ‘Core Supports’ (Assistance with Daily Life).
We are a non-registered NDIS providers, and we can work with all NDIS participants such as plan-managed, and self-managed participants. We cannot work with NDIA-managed participants at this time, but can recommend you high-quality Dietitians who are.
You do not need a referral. You can contact us directly to discuss your needs and how we can support your NDIS goals.
The first session is about getting to know you. We’ll discuss your NDIS goals, your current health, your lifestyle, and what you want to achieve, then begin to implement strong strategies to achieve your goals.
Yes, our dietitian has experience supporting participants with sensory food preferences, fussy eating, and requirements for texture-modified diets (e.g., pureed, minced & moist).
We can support nutrient (energy, protein, vitamins, minerals etc) intake to ensure nutrition is not a barrier to reaching your goals.
While we work with people with texture modified diet requirements, we cannot prescribe texture & fluid level adjustment upgrades or conduct swallow strategies. We work alongside highly qualified speech pathologists to support you with these goals.
