In Australia, “Accredited Practising Dietitian” (APD) is a protected title for practitioners who have met specific university and professional standards. “Nutritionist” is not as regulated. Our Head Practitioner is an Accredited Nutritionist.
This is highly individual. Some clients achieve their goals in 2-3 sessions, while others with more complex conditions benefit from ongoing support over several months. We will discuss this in your initial consultation.
You may be eligible for a rebate through your private health insurance ‘extras’ cover. Please check with your specific fund. We can also accept referrals for Chronic Disease Management (CDM) plans from your GP.
You don’t need to do much! It can be helpful to think about your goals and perhaps keep a 3-day food diary, but we will send you all the information you need when you book.
We can create a structured meal plan if that’s what you want, but our primary goal is to teach you how to build healthy, balanced meals for yourself so you don’t have to rely on a plan forever.
